Each year, there are a great variety of festivals in Sunnhordland. There is something suitable for everyone!
The Sunnhordland festivals provide good experiences. You can choose between an impressing variety. Local talents and international stars come to Sunnhordland. See what´s on in the event calendar. Here you will find events in Austevoll, Bømlo, Etne, Fitjar, Kvinnherad, Stord, Sveio and Tysnes.
Festival overview in Sunnhordland 2017:
1. - 4. June, Husnes, Kvinnherad
OmStock-festivalen is a kind of tribute to the 80s. Artists this year: Tindrum, Benny Borg, Trond Granlund, Dag Ingebrigtsen, Kee Marcello (Europe), Diesel Dahl (TNT) and others.
2. - 5. June 2017, Stord
Handball festival for children´s teams. This year the festival will be arranged for the 28th time. Parade in the city centre at Leirvik at Saturday.
2. - 4. June, Moster, Bømlo
The pageant "I slik ei natt" is written by Svein Tindberg. Is is about the legendary viking King Olav Haraldsson. We follow him through the events that change him from a merciless viking into the legendary christian figure who was to become Saint Olav.
3. - 4. june, Sveio

16. - 18. june, Sunde in Sunnhordland, Kvinnherad
SundeSprell is a festival celebration the diversity that Sunde and the region Sunnhordland have to offer.
There will be activities, good food and concerts.

30. june - 2. july, Sagvåg, Stord
For the second year in a row, there will be a festival in Sagvåg, Stord.
Among the artists you will find Bastard, Mikael Wiehe, Return, Hogheads, Bite and The Vossa Rebels.
There will also be pop up concerts during the weekend. And of course a lot for the entire family.

6. - 8. july 2017, Skånevik, Etne
Skånevik Bluesfest presents artists and experiences in the socalled blues village Skånevik.
Among this year´s artists you will find: Morten Abel, Seigmenn, Eric Sardinas and The savage Rose.
12. - 16. July 2017, Tysnes
The Tysnesfest festival every year brings thousands of people to the small island of Tysnes.
Here, you can experience big international names and teeming crowds, and activities and entertainment for people of all ages by the sea on idyllic Tysnes island. There will be a festival campsite as well as marina. Bus and boat services across the whole region.

13. - 16. July, Skånevik, Etne
Skånevik fjord hotel invites you to Pippi theatre at the hotel lawn. There will also be Pippi activities in the whole village - for young and old.
20. - 22. July, Sæbøvik, Halsnøy, Kvinnherad
Summer event for the whole family. Shrimps, crab and fish are important ingredrients. As well as activities for the whole family. Programme will be announced.
3. - 6. August 2017

Music festival in the beautiful village Uskedalen by the Hardangerfjord!
10. - 13. august 2017, Fitjar
Festival for the entire family. There will be concerts and more. The norwegian band Gunslingers are ready for the festival. For updates on artists and programme please check out the web site of the festival.
11. - 13. August 2017, Etne
The biggest market of its kind in the western part of Norway. More than 200 sales exhibitions within arts and handycrafts, food, shopping, industry and agriculture. Concerts and actvivities.
12. Aug - 17. Sept 2017, Sunnhordland
Coastal saga weeks with a variety of events in different parts of the region.
4. - 10. november, Stord
Falturiltu is the world´s only children´s book festival in the norwegian dialect nynorsk! At the festival you can experience lectures for children, concerts, events and exhibitions.
In addition to the above mentioned festivals, others will also be arranged. The dates will be presented at this web page as soon as possible!
Festivals that have taken place this year:
27. - 28. January 2017, Stord
100 Dagar is a showcase as well as an event to hear artists from the entire Vestlandet region. There will be lectures for both musicians and firms. Appr 20 bands will be selected and are allowed to play concert for 30 mins during the weekend.
