A little about life:

I grew up on a small farm in Vats in Vindafjord municipality. After leaving school I traveled to Stavanger to study petroleum technology. I spent half a year of my education "down under" in Australia. Great fun!

Freshly graduated, I started my working career at Equinor. After almost ten years in the oil city, I decided to move with my husband and children to Haugesund. Still employed at Equinor, but now working at the gas plant in Kårstø. After 4 years in Haugesund and 2 new family members we were ready to live more rurally. My husband's home in Sveio became the new address for the family of5 with a dog. There was a generational change of house and campsite.

In 2016, I chose to take the step out of the oil and gas industry and into new tasks. I studied pedagogy and worked as a teacher at a secondary school, before after a couple of years I furthered my education as a personal trainer at the Sports Academy in Oslo.

The dream of my own workplace was realised, my own business within physical activity was realised, - at the same time that Nils and I opened the upgraded camp. Grunder life has been instructive and nice. Two established companies are now being run on the side of the job as project manager of Bu i Sunnhordland.
