SKL produces clean electrical energy from renewable hydropower sources.

Their largest power plants are located in the Blådals watershed in Kvinnherad municipality, Vestland county. In addition, they have large power plants in Litledalen, Etne municipality and Eikelandsosen, Bjørnafjorden municipality. SKL has an ownership stake in Sima power plant, Eidfjord and Ulla-Førre plants in Rogaland and Aust Agder, as well as 15% in AS Saudefaldene. SKL also has a large small power portfolio. Total production is around 2,700 GWh a year.

SKL is an active co-owner in several renewable sources: the offshore wind company Deep Wind Offshore and the hydrogen production company Hydrogen Solutions.

The head office is in Stord, with operating departments in Matre and Etne. The company has just under 60 employees.
